12th UCAM Doctoral Conference

“Researchers Around the World”

This year we celebrate the 12th UCAM Doctoral Conference under the theme “Researchers Around the World”, with the aim of placing internationalization at the center as a driver of academic, professional, and personal growth for early-career researchers.

Carrying out a research stay at a center in another country is not simply a change of location. It means coming into contact with new questions, different working methodologies, teams of people with diverse scientific cultures, and different ways of organizing work.

It is also an opportunity to expand networks, exchange ideas, learn from leading figures in the field, and discover that excellence is built by sharing knowledge.

These Conference sessions are born from the conviction that research is enriched when researchers open themselves to the outside world: when they leave their university to collaborate, listen, learn and, above all, look at their discipline from diverse perspectives.

Mobility and international cooperation foster creativity, enhance research quality, and better prepare researchers for a global, competitive and collaborative scientific environment.

As every year, this will be a space for reflection, inspiration and the sharing of experiences. We will discuss strategies for planning research stays, key elements for making the most of them, and the impact they have on the research trajectory.

We invite doctoral candidates, thesis supervisors, researchers and the university community in general to join this necessary dialogue in order to build together a science that is more open, connected and transformative, capable of providing a real service to society.
